the ship tries to avoid the Asteroid but the Asteroid was too big so the asteroid hits the ship on the Port side and sent the ship flying out of control crash landing back on Earth.
Sorry couldn't resist making an Iceberg joke about the Ship name.

I decided for her to be a cruise liner. In the 25th to 26th Centuries, almost all planets are allied with the Federation, so there's no need for war. Federation cruise ships are a mile long at their smallest, and the TitanicΒ is 4 times the minimum size.
