*Updated* 1-10-06 I corrected his skin color. I used a combination of 3 colors this time, instead of one flat color like before. I'm learning here folks!Let me know what you think!

I like the colouring, and the expression is lovely, and I like how you 'real-ized' the hair. :woot:
Ummmmm....the clothes look a little too new, though. The denim would look, imho, a teeny but better if it was darker, and it was obvious it was a little worn, like a few scuffs here and there. Same goes for the leather bits.
I like the face, except that it looks a tad female. And the pose looks a little too dramatic, at least to me, for someone who's just tired. Just my two cents, if you were going to pattern the face after someone, try doing it from pictures of say, Hugh Jackman, or someone else with a somewhat longer face, and similar features. He looks a little too young here, at least to me. I love your technique, but the face doesn't seem to fit quuuiiiiite right. Vash (yeah, I'm a fangirl >_>

Nice take on Vash. I've never seen a realistic drawing of the character. Fantastic job. You took into account lighting and texture. Great job.

Thanks alot! Yeah, this was my first attempt at trying to portray anime/manga characters in a realistic way. This is a couple of years old now, so I'd like to take another crack at Vash with my current skills.

Vash kinda looks metrosexual to me, but the art is solid. The only problem I have is that he seem to not as much pointy in his hair, but then again doing this realistic sketch means that the spiky hair is improbable. DBZ could never be done realistic like this because the crazy hair.

Yeah, I know what'cha mean about his look. Anime men are almost always pretty-boys and I tried to maintain that. The next time that I draw him, I plan to make him look a little more rugged. The hair was something I agonized over for some time. Anime hair would look pretty odd if I did it the same in my style. I'm glad that you like the art, and thanks for commenting.

I think it's the eyes. I don't see any of his personality in them at all, even if you go with his darker side. He looks to calm, too suave, and when has Vash ever been suave?

Oh, I intended this image in my head as if he is tired. He just walked into a town, so he is taking a breather in an alleyway to get out of the harsh sun. It's cool if it doesn't work for you though. I'm glad you still like the technique, if not the execution.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I'd rather use a model in person, but I don't know anyone that has the right look for Vash, and I don't yet have the kind of money to hire a model.
