Continuing my recreation studies of great artists & covers...In this case, Detective Comics #27 -
The original cover was created by Bob Kane, copyright DC Comics.

The very first Batman story, by the way, was "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate", an adaptation of an old Shadow story from way back. Those were definitely the days.

It is amazing to see how our story telling and comics media have evolved since this era, huh?
Although, I think we reached the peak in the 1980s, and it has nosedived in recent years...

I think there's still some pretty great work being done, just not in the 'adventure' genre in the mainstream... superhero comics have left me cold since the turn of the century. Which was 19 years ago. Good lord.

Yep, I was meaning the superhero genre in general. Although, there are talents out there, proving the audience still want thrills!
Some of those kickstarter comics are making more dough than a whole stack of Marvel/DC titles put together...!
