A friend of mine who is great at drawing women told me that one thing to remember is to decrease the number of lines and hatching, particularly in the face, as compared to men. With men it gives the face character, with women too many lines reduce the beauty.

Yeah, I try to keep that in mind, but for likenesses of real people some of those extra lines are essential to get the drawing to look like the person and not some generic human.

Then again, if I were a better artiste, that probably wouldn't be necessary! heh.
