AK was adopted by military in 1949.

Then where’s the AK-47 then? If that’s not a 47, then how we all supposed to know?

The "47" in AK-47 was attached by western intelligence agencies; they had a habit of attaching a weapon's introduction-to-service date to the end of the name.

You don't need to remind me that. I already know it.

Easily!
AK-47, as well as AK-46, was never mass-produced - only several copies were made for governmental trials, and few still intact belongs to the museums.
....however, I think, I should draw both prototypes as well...

Well you should. Well the rest of the world still calling it the AK-47 tho. Not in Russian tho. It may get confusing a lot.

Any real-world gun in my gallery can be used by anyone - at least, while they give credits.

Because AK is a very old image... Based on PMG image, not on photo... So, it's a bit bugy. ^^*

Er... AK-47 was experimental prototype for AK, never entered mass production.
Thanks.

Not to be rude or anything, but i think you're talking about the AK-46, the rifle that came right before the AK-47 (Types I, II, and III).

AK-46, as well as AK-47, were experimental prototypes. AK-47 had two stages, and both of them had some differences with final AK.

The AK-47 Is official as far as i know. From what i can understand, the 'AK-47' designation means 'Automatic Kalashnikov adopted in 1947.' The fourth link you gave me looks like the First production model AK to me. I don't think I've EVER seen the second and third linked photos. The AK-47 designation i believe was carried over to the production rifle. That's just what i think.

Official name of the rifle is "7,62-мм автомат Калашникова" - "7,62-mm avtomat Kalashnikova" - "7,62-mm Kalashnikov assault rifle". GRAU index 56-A-212.
Serial production started in 1948, service started in 1949.

Only NATO ever called it the "AK-47", besides... it only had three models. Almost all AKs in the world are really AKMs.

NATO called it... And now we have, what we have - "AK-47" is everywhere. X_X
Yesterday I watched "Watch Dogs" trailer. "AK-47" was there... And looked like AK-103 with wooden parts.

АК-47 - индекс экспериментальной модели, а в серийное производство он пошел под обозначением "7.62мм автомат Калашникова АК".
