Money and substitutes

So, the bombs fell, and your cash card goes useless, along with your bitcoins and paypall account. So... What will you pay with?

First of all, Vault Rubles ()! Gold is gold, after all, and Vault Program creators (at least, in Russia) decided to mint and stash in their installations some hard currency - silver, gold and copper. They are considered universal trade medium in Russian Wasteland.

Then, there goes Pre-War bullion coins. After all, idea of hard currency never died out in Pre-War society - especially, among survival enthusiasts of different kind. Russian Pre-War "Saint George" series 50 rubles gold coin considered equal to 10 vault rubles.

Then, their are Pre-War Russian Ruble coins. Generally, they are considered equal in value to Vault kopeks (pre-war 5 ruble  coin would be considered equal to 5 Vault kopeks), but they are not as accepted as Vault coins.

Bottle caps... You can't talk about Post Apocalypse and not mention them, can't you? So... They are used as coinage substitutes in some minor enclaves, but they are not universally accepted. Thir exact value depends on enclave's policy, and outside of  them their considered worth is around 1 Vault kopek.


And - no. Ammo, food, clean water and other things are not considered "money" in Russian Wasteland... But they make good barter medium.
