in a cartoony way, i think it all centers on the eyes (well not all but like a bi g part of it), since thats what we look at when we first see a person, we look at their face an eyes to read emotion. so lke if they were more negative or som shit i think theyd hav e droopier eyes, if they were bouncy, theyd have rounder fuller eyes, yknow that sort o f thing

To be perfectly honest, i don't think it's too bad to draw characters with the 'same face.' There's ways to make it work properly, and if at one point, hypothetically, everyone neglected the same face trope, it'd be pretty difficult to design from scratch and eventually it'd become difficult to develop a style since it's basically changing with each character. But I think you're slowly making it work. If you wanna break the habit, then don't rush it, slowly let it happen over time. Me, personally, I think in your old style, the anatomy worked a little better since it was was really round and cartoony, but again, you'll probably get the hang of this style quick!

Same face syndrome isn't really a problem, it's when you want to make your characters have more body language and design it's a problem.
I think you should try everything in art and them try to find the good balance to make your style work better.
