Description
It's like 4 years ago since I last did this one .Consistency can still use some work, but it's getting remarkably better.
And yes.... I have an obsession with this character. Don't kill me plz

I've been working on consistency a lot this year. I think I'm getting better at it slowly. XD Cool to know someone else is working on it too.Β

Love it
I also like how you didn't go for the same expression in every drawing, instead you made each drawing unique in its own right
I do admire you for your creaivity

Having the same expression in every sheet would just be boring ^^

I think I need to do one of these things.Β Eventually.Β Seems like one of those things I need to work on but always forget.
The one in the bottom left panel is my favorite.Β I think it conveys the most emotion out of the group (and those puppy-dog eyes ).

I like the character a lot! He might lack some individual traits apart from his red yes and scarf, but that makes him look realistic and believable. I also love his hair: Simple, but still special.
(I should do that practice too. The fancier the hair, the more is it difficult to draw it from every angle.)

In all honesty; I wanted a realistic character.
Most of my characters are from a novel that's quite realistic in nature, so having strange-looking characters would not make sense then ^^

I know. You manage to make your characters look like everyday persons while still making them unique characters. Great job!
I am eager to read your story one day β what I know about it so far really got me interested.

Good stuff, your straight-on looks good, your upwards and downwards perspective shift could probably use another iteration--especially your upwards 3/4, which looks more like a slightly raised profile shot rather than an upward camera angle on the head--did you use a live reference?Β If you didn't, it might help you visualize the shape of the face from those angles.Β

DamaiMikaz In reply to Dannthr [2015-07-25 08:33:32 +0000 UTC]
It's really hard to find references for that, tbh.
I tried making a picture of myself, but I have a weird face XD

Dannthr In reply to DamaiMikaz [2015-07-25 16:43:10 +0000 UTC]
It's a hard angle even when you DO have reference, I just feel like you went conservative on the angle, especially considering how much more dramatic the angle on the template is.
With that said, a Google image search of "guy looking up" brought be these results:
