Nineteen years old, I graduated just that day.It took two hours for the hairdresser to do that hairstyle. She even bursted into tears at some points, but my hair are mutinous when it comes to backcombing!

This was a popular hairstyle here in the US too! We called backcombing "teasing". We slept on brush curlers, and it took an hour or so each morning to style, then sprayed with Final Net until absolutely not one hair moved. We also put little bows above each ear, which matched our clothes, of course. You look very pretty

Yeah, back then we were all backcombed in Soviet Union, too! I think we've been the backcombed generation, even though the trend reached us later. I hope this photo helped bringing back nice moments!
