Description
D e s c r i p t i o nI did this a month ago but never got to upload it until now. I guess my main thought while making this was that people think strangely of how a woman should look. Like back in the corset days they were obsessed with tiny waists. People seem to want to make women into dolls of perfection when they should just see the beauty that is already there and natural...
This was all edited using adjustment layers. I learned in my Advanced Photoshop class in college that what I used to do was called "destructive editing" and that there are others ways of doing what I did without ruining the original and not having to make a duplicate layer of the original.

I must disagree with `bitchinblack about the eye (no disrespect). I actually like how the eye is distorted because it really portrays what this piece is about. Media has a distorted vision of what a woman should look like.
The doll-like effect really suits this piece, and since you appreciate constructive-crit I'll put my two cents in ^_^ Simply this. Perhaps a different effect on her eye would really benefit, like more glassy and reflective.
Anywho, love the piece. Keep up the great work.

Hmm, yeah I tried making it look more glassy and reflective but failed, but maybe I should get back on the horse and try again. Thanks for the advice.

I love this because its true. In some places to even be noticed you have to be perfect, and ideally that is tiny waist, long slender legs, and giant boobs. And that just doesnt happen unless its by surgery, and only very few women are actually like that. I just dont understand that outlook.
Plus the colors are beautiful.

Sorry, hun! I didn't mean to just fav and run. It's just I've had a lot on my plate lately. <333
I love that deep emerald green in the background.
The only thing that I think doesn't work very well is eye, being distorted like that. Other than that, I think it is quite lovely.
