Description
EDIT: Finally, I drew the background by myself, so well, it is not exactly the same, some details have disapeared and it is not as beautiful as before but, well, I wanted to do this, I feel better now, because painting over the shot was like cheating for meI wanted to introduce to you another of my OC, Elizabeth "Liz" Callahan, undercover cop in Miami and an extreme sports fanatic
She is a bit inspired by Mariska Hargitay , I think...
The title of this work has been inspired by this song: C'mon and Try - Mellowdrone .
The reference used for the pose is a girl from the game "Need for Speed: Most Wanted".([link] )
Concerning the background, I used Edward Reed's technique for its mermaids: I painted the main details and colors areas over a shot. But I'm not sure I won't try to draw completly the city

Et après tu oses dire que tu sais pas bien dessiner les décors u_u
magnifique jeu de lumière sur Liz, aussi (note sans importance: tu sembles avoir diminué un peu sa générosité mammaire pour les illustrations suivantes ^^)

I hate doing backgrounds myself. But you did a top job on this. I especialy like the girl. The way you coloured her is awsome. So is the detail Well done I can tell you put tonnes of effort into this one

Eye-popping and very different. Love Liz's hair and her mouth and eyes...hard-bitten and intelligent looking.

I really like the picture of the woman, the expression on her face and the look of her eyes. They are beautiful. It's a really cool character design and I like the little details, like that tatoo on her back, just peeking beneath her shirt.
These are just some suggestions I came up with after looking at it again after your re-post - I do hope you don't mind some critique: That shadow at the base of the arm pointing towards the viewer goes up a little bit too high, I think. It makes her arm look a litte too long and thin.
Second thing I saw is that the breasts seem to be too far up as well. With most women, the bottom line of them are just a little above the elbows. I use them as a reference. I'm also not sure of how much you would be able to see of the further away arm. You painted in the "middle line" of her pants, marked by seams - which turned out wonderfully realistical, wish I could do that - maybe you should do the same with her shirt, it seems... off somehow.
Also, with the background I noticed that not all lines of the building are quite vertical. I do not know whether you planed that - if you did, it looks fine, but you might wanna use a grid function to straighten them a little.
Last, I really love the palm trees, and how they seem red in that light - especially since I keep forgetting myself that coloured lights cast coloured shadows...
I hope this is helpful. If you do not want this kind of comments, just tell me, and I'll stop critizing you. (Most of the time I don't have the time for a real "critique" anway...)

Thank you really for this precious comment! Really thanks a lot for the time you spent in it!
-Hmm, for the shadow, you're right, I'll have to fix that, I must admit I'm not good with the "lighting" function in PS, it is always "too much" or "not enough"
-For the breasts indeed they are a bit far up as well but concerning the bottom line, unfortunatly my model put it far far far up the elbow, I do not understand
-The arm was an ordeal, I had no model at all, I try to use DAZ3D as a reference and well, to be honest, I was now waiting for such comments to know what was good/wrong
-I simply forgot the seams on the shirt............. >_<
-For the background, well, I painted it with freehand and shapes, buildings or everything else you can imagine with lines are always an horror for me The grid would have been a good solution indeed but I'm not patient enough
Once again thanks a lot for this comment, hope to have more like this, it helps a lot and allow me to improve my work Thanks

You're very welcome.
I'll try to take the time more often with your work - I'm not always sure whether people really want a "critique" or just a "nice pic". about the reference... Do you have siblings/friends/parents around when you draw? sometimes my sister'll pose for me...

Honestly, your comments bring a lot, moreover because it is focused on details.
Critiques are really interesting and, I think, they are the best way to improve
And unfortunatly, no one can pose for me Well, I have a "wood model" (not sure it is the good word, this thing to sum up
[link] ), DAZ and shots to compensate
Thanks again and again

As I said, you're welcome. I don't know whether I can be a lot of help with your terragen pics, as I do little in 3-D myself, but I'll try with drawings, because I too think it's the best way to learn.
oh, I have a wood model like that myself - found real people easier to reference from, though... never heard of DAZ, though...

DAZ is a 3D software allowing you to render scenes and people. Honestly I use it more for the poses than to do a complete scene
It is free, you can download it here: [link]
