Photo I took in Summer of 2014, posted 2015I took the photo with no idea they would soon become endangered. The only Monarch butterfly I had seen that year and it saddens me to hear of their decline. They are my favorite species of butterfly, so I want to do everything I can to help save them.
Want to help, too? Plant native milkweed (not the flower in the photograph)! It is their primary source of food. Milkweed is destroyed just for being considered as...well... a weed, which is rather unfortunate because it is actually really pretty.

Oh good! Also, I forgot to mention "native" milkweed. Whoops. But yes, I am going to try to! I will be moving in May, so it's one of the first things on my list to do.
