No idea where I got the original reference I used as I can't seem to find the .psd file...That being said, it appears as though you're correct. The new version has red eyes. I'd say I was going by the older version, but 009 in that appears to have brown eyes, so I've no idea why I came up with blue.

XDD i know, me personally i like the 2001 version best, his eyes are pretty (the roiginal with black hair was a bit odd o.O then again that was just barely in colour i think XD)
so meh, still looks awesome! the effects look aweswome, i need practise...major practise
