I’m a bit late, had too much stuff happening to focus on making this. Anywho, it was ’s birthday yesterday, and so I decided to make her favorite dinosaur: Daspletosaurus. Decided to make D. torosus, ‘cause I feel D. horneri has been hogging lots of attention for some ambiguous reason I guess, smh 😒. This tyrannosaurine has stripes strikingly resembling that of a baby emu, albeit being a coincidence. Gave it lips by democratic vote (lol, a poll) of followers of mine and others. Integument consists of scales along most the body, head, legs, and tail, naked skin along some parts of the neck and body, keratin covering the head along with hardened skin, and filaments sparse on the dorsal side of the body, tail, and along the arms. I intended to give it a sort of ratite-modern raptor look to it in order to not make it look like a nice Cretaceous monster of the past. About drawing D.torosus and not horneri: definately the right choice for a full body depiction, while horneri won't of course vary much in proportions we only have good references for it's head, the post cranial material is still until study and awaits publication.
