I'm finally getting to uplading this. I've had the photographs sitting around for ages.
My Aunt and Uncle's dogs, I did a charcoal of the two little furry tanks for them for Christmas. They just love it and I"m very happy.
She sent me a photograph so I could upload it and use it for my pet portrait fliers. Not the best picture ever, but it works.Charcoal on Reeves BFK, 10-ish hours.

Very nice charcoal work! The way you've rendered the fur is great! The highlights on the left dog nose look a bit bright, but i suspect it's the camera's flash?
You've got some very nice variations from light to darks, i always find that one of the hardest things to do with charcoal, getting the nice contrasts.. Did you get the whites so clear with just an eraser or did you use some sort of white conte or pencil?
Anyhow, this is great stuff!

Lovely charcoal work. The sweeping, flowing lines in the fur are just right. The composition is a bit plain, but neh, who cares 'bout dat when these dogs have such personality?
