Description
Can you think of a better reason to love me?--
Graphite and rag paper. I spent... I'm not sure how long on this. Sevreal hours spread out over last night and tonight. Graphite really doesn't scan well. I'm going to douse it with fixative tomorrow and see if maybe that kills off some of the reflections. Used three different pictures for reference, wanted to get a really messy, really pissy look. 12 -1/2x17 inches

Sure, dogs don't purr, but dogs also don't cause me to sneeze and my eyes to well up
She looks so spoiled. And fluffy. I just want to pick her up and hug her, but know that would probably be a bad idea. Very nice. You really captured that look cats get.

I love the contrast of the background, and the composition that it adds to it as well.
The strokes of the fur give it that added texture, and the harsher lines do give Toby that "I hate you" look to him. I think it is just the nature of the majority of long haired cats.
I love the more distint facial features as well. He has a lot of personality, just like every catty.

Gaaah, that's not Toby! I fear those cats. ...fear and laugh at them. Toby's much nicer looking.

Toby's a lil baby. Literally. He tries to be all big and mean, but just wants to curl his fat butt up in your lap.

That is one confuseing creature. I stared at it for a long time trying to figure out whether it was a cat or a dog. Even now I am still confused Great drawing, it looks like you really captured him

She really is the king of the house, I'm sure. She has that pissed diva look, like when an intern brings Britney Spears her coffee with 2 sugars instead of 3.
Great work. Very flowey and cat-like. Get a portfolio of these and you could be knee deep in portraiteering pets if you contacted the right vet.

Just remember... make the pets look loving. Evil may be more fun but sentimentality would pay the bills. Selling out equals bling while keeping your integrity means working at Blockbuster to afford rent.

Oh yes, commission pets look sweet. Pets to make me giggle myself silly whenever I see them... well... all bets are off.

When I add fixative it usually only makes the picture more reflective if anything. But good luck with it... you have indeed achieved a very pissy look. It reminds me why I don't like cats.

Its a CAT-DOG!!! *purr* and its cute, even if it does look like something from "Gremlins" (awesome movie). You pulled off ze shading verry nicely, too.
