they look prettier in renders than their in game appearance....... why not have it that way? sigh

I agree! I blame the engine on which the game runs. It makes the cutscenes look weird.

anyways what 's the new game about they say it's not the direct sequel,
what is it then? spin off or "what if" event?

It's a spin off to the first game. It's still canon, but it's not Dead Island 2. Dead World will probably be the sequel since the trade marked that name.

How awesome but wasn't it with a man hanging for his life on a lightning filled stormy night on a wobbly bridge while zombies are underneath him and they're try to kill him.
