Description
Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore, holding two of their precious Hallows. I figure that, for obvious reasons, Albus would take best to the Resurrection Stone. Colored on Corel Painter, but drawn in a sketchbook.Related content

Poor Albus. Don't fall for the crazy murderer...

Their friendship/love was doomed--I find them such interesting characters. Really nice style!

Thank you so much! These two have one of my favorite relationships in HP. It kind of breaks my heart, but that's okay.

I'm required to add this to my favorites 1.) because it's Grindelore, and 2.) because it is in fact, my picture. Not that I don't love both of them, but I fucking love your Albus. He is just so spot on fucking perfect it's amazing. You do an excellent job with little Albus.
But anyways. About this. My favorite part of this entire piece I think would have to be the way they're holding hands. To me it's just very symbolic of their relationship, because while Albus is extending his hand and seems more open and loose about the way he's reaching to him, Gellert is keeping his hand close, his grip seems tighter, more controlling. I'm unsure if this was intentional or accidental, but either way it's absolutely amazing. I also love their faces-Albus is looking, intrigued at the stone, whereas Gellert looks smug and is proudly displaying his-once again, very symbolic of their demeanor and personality.
On a side note, I'm also inexplicably glad that you agree with me about their height scales and the dominant person in the relationship. Too many fanartists automatically think the submissive one needs to be shorter and ignore Albus's height, but you keep it fantastic.

Ooh!!! What a long comment...yessssss. I'm really glad you like my Albus, because he's easy for me to draw and I rather liked the design myself. Gellert is just...more malicious Draven.
The hand holding was intentional, yes. I wanted to show Dumbledore's consent to reach out to him, his longing to touch him, and Gellert's seizing hold of that affection and keeping it for himself. Same with the Hallows, Albus's face as well as the fact that he's not holding the stone implies his longing, but reluctance to actually grasp such power, while Gellert grabs for it immediately, quite smug about the power he has.
Of course Albus is taller yet submissive...honestly, I have mindblocks about it any other way.

A more malicious looking Draven, at least... XD Please draw more with them, I will seriously be so incredibly happy. Oh my god.
I should have known that with someone as amazing as you it would be intentional. :]
ME TOO. It's this utter mental block, and I just cannot do it any other way. I don't understand how people can, actually...

Don't worry, there will definitely be more Grindelore to come.
