So this is my latest art piece, and it is a contest submission for God and Goddess competition. I choose to draw her because well I'm crazy about Egypt (thats why I becoming an Archaeologist) and Isis is my favourite goddess.So this the Egyptian Goddess, Aset or more commonly known as Isis, in the Greek language. Within my drawing I'v tried to incorporate as many symbols which are identifiable with Isis. Firstly, Isis' name literally means 'throne', and as such, I've used her hieroglyphic within the drawing. Secondly, Isis is referred as the Goddess of Magic, among other other titles. The scorpion on her arm represents her part within the Egyptian tale, "Isis and the Seven scorpions". Lastly, her blue dress represents her matrilineal descent from the Goddess Nut, Goddess of the Sky/Heavens.

Nawh!!!!! You are so kind! Thank so much!!!! The Egyptians were very colourful, despite what other's think, so I tried to stay true to that aspect!
As for her hair, had to colour each individual strand! Took forever, but it was worth it!

(And on a slightly unrelated note... this reminds me. The Greeks were also a very colorful people. You know those pale, large marble statues they made? Well, originally... they were painted in bright colors. Haha, interesting, hm? )

Oh Thank you so much! I hope you like. XD I spent ages trying to get it just right, for the reason that Isis is my favourite Egyptian Goddess, and I wanted to do her justice.
