The Crux Terminatus isn't the suit, it's the cross on the side of the shoulder pauldron. It emits the refractor field that gives the Tactical Dreadnoughts (aka: our beloved Termies) their invulnerable save. Supposedly they're all made from chips taken from the armour the Emperor wore when he died/fell asleep/whatever.
Barring the nerdspaz, the piece is rather well done. The storm bolter looks a lot more weathered than the rest of the model, though.

I honestly cant remember how long the render took.
Software used was 3DS max 2010, mental ray, Mudbox 2010 and photoshop CS3
