I can't even tell you how much fun this was to do, maybe my favorite single assignment so far of this turtles adventureAlthough drawing page after page of him fighting everyone is pretty fun too!

im a big fan of the original TMNT, and this design is awesome!!! i love how the design pays homage to the original but at the same time delivers a fresh new look to the character. awesome work bro yu deserve a pizza of highest grade

IMO, the best design the character has ever had. It's a sleek update to the original, but what sells it is how long he waits until he speaks.
He was kept from being a Snidely Whiplash moustache twirler, and that brings him back to being one of the premier badass villains in comic-dom.
Was REALLY glad he didn't die right away like in the original comics

I love his look without the hood or helmet. He looks familiar yet different. It really looks like a beginning for the character.

oh yeah, me again!! forgot to say, one thing i really dig about your design is the lack of shin blades. it doesn't seem like it would be a big thing but it totally is, having all the metal and blades up top is a great choice that i think most people haven't even thought of trying.

Thank man, I'm so pumped that this went over as well as it did. It wasn't until we got such a positive response that I realized just how bad it could've been if I had screwed this up haha
but thanks and I agree, I once we went this route I really wanted to keep it more practical in areas like the face and I also liked having all the blades up top. but even that can get complicated should the script call for him to do something like cross his arms...

these are stellar, man, absolutely one of the best Shredder designs out there. he's not over-armored, i love the cloth face-mask instead of the metal face plate, he's not over the top, he actually looks like a ninja, and i love the rectangular curved shoulder plates. and the hood/poncho thing is awesome.

issue 10-12 are all going to be pretty rad they just build and build to this monster frenzy. 12 is almost a non-stop brawl!

I can't say anything about my pages but I'm pretty sure they've hinted at him in at least one of the micro books. All I know is that Tom has been excitedly building to this for months!

I figured he may have appeared in that certain Micro issue.
Again I know you can't say, but It looks like he might have popped up in issue 2.

Dude, I just finished reading change is constant. You did a great job, your pencils at the climax of the story ark when the turtles are fighting old hob in the park was on point!

And that was just the first arc of the "Change is Constant" storyline! I didn't realize until just recently but it spans the first twelve issues and if you liked the climax with hob wait till twelve haha

we almost did go over the top you can see some original sketches in the back of issue 9 or 10 but I'm really glad we went this way in the end
