Fanart for James S. A. Corey's Leviathan Wakes and Caliban's War.Captain James Holden clearly loves his crew and the open exchange of information, but I believe a close reading of the text reveals his true love.
(Judging on the number of references to coffee and tea in the book, I suspect caffeine played a pivotal role in the writing of the series)

I'm halfway thru, I can't put it down (which is a problem, since my main reading time is my commute, and I keep getting to cliffhangers right before work and then being like "NO! I CAN'T WAIT 8 HOURS!")

Yup - I'm with ya on the characters. Avasarala was a real stand out and practically carried the book, alone. But I think Abaddon's is a more tense plot. It REALLY is a roller coaster ride. Not sure how far you've gotten, but the book DOES have its character moments
