Stupid me, I was thinking about joining the contest more than twice but I never got a sufficient idea what to draw... in hindsight though...

Uhh, anyway, great job!

I actually almost forgot to do a second entry. I tend to do one right away so I don’t forget to do one, then I usually forget until the reminder comes up and I’m like β€œDANG IT!!!”

I love your choice of coloring style. It reminds me a lot of the actual books I read when I was a kid! Great job!

Wow, this looks like it came out of a page of the original book. Β The details and shading are done so wonderfully, and that you used the designs of Christopher Robin and Pooh from the book instead of the movie.

Nice alteration while still keeping the characters recognizable. You did a great job at maintaining the simplicity and sweetness that we all know and love. And the watercolors are lovely.

aww Whinnie the Pooh how adorable! I love how it looks like the original books, the lines on the tree and characters makes it look very original And I really like the sky too, it's just the right amount of blue X3 and I love the leaves at the top of the tree too, how the whole top is green but only a few leaves were drawn on it makes the tree look fuller y'know?

You seem to have captured the art style from the orginal books as oppose to those animated movies and TV specials. Good. I'm not certain but I believe A.A. Milne didn't much enjoy the animated adaptation of the his characters.

I do love β€œthe Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” (one of my favorites~) but I love E. H. Shepherd’s illustrations more!! I feel like they are a very good match to the feel of the stories. As great as Disney is, it tends to stretch a character’s personally to be more extreme or it completely misses a subtle quality of a story book character we really loved.Β

Thanks for the comment Β

This drawing looks so wonderfully colored. The art style is somewhat like a coloring page from a kids book.
It reminds me of Peter Rabbitart of Beatrix Potter.
Well done~^^

Same here.Beatrix Potter's works are amazing, both in art and stories.
I also like illustrations by E.H.Shepard, the reason I enjoy watching Winnie the Pooh cartoons.

Huh! I like the sketchiness of this watercolor piece. The sketches meshing in with the watercolors helps the piece feel like it could fit right into a children's book. I also love how you portrayed Pooh and Christopher Robin; they're very cute and we as an audience, no matter how old we may be, can identify with them or feel drawn to them because of their light-hearted expressions and poses. I think it's interesting that you took away Pooh's shirt; it kind of adds another layer of child-like magic, as if he is a real bear talking to an older human child and Robin is enjoying the friendship and time they share. I can picture this as part of a summer time illustration, which makes sense, given that is usually a time of fun and adventure for some kids. Β Well done on creating a fine piece!

I made it more sketchy as a sort of tribute to the old Pooh Bear tales illustrated by E. H. Shepard.Β
