Forgotten HopeLike a stone
She stands alone;
Waiting for someone
to take her home.
Missing, but not missed;
Ivisible, but not seen.
She waits in the darkness
For the light to shine.
But the light never will.
It's come and gone;
She stands there still.
She gave up hope.
Her heart hardened;
Her eyes cold;
Her breathing slowed;
She's ready to give up.
To give in to the darkness;
Let her soul have rest.
To die right now;
She tried so hard.
Death would not come,
No matter what;
Giving up did not good;
She lay breathless.
Then the light shone,
And she stood;
Her face iluminated
in the bright rays.
She stepped through
the doorway,
and never looked back.
She hadn't given up hope after all.
