Description
I spent a lot of time working on this one. The original version took place in the same setting, but the environment looked more haunted. The model had some weird shadowing issues due to the trees around her, and it caused a flesh-colored shadow band to appear around her forehead. I ended up scrapping the scene and putting a new one together, reducing the amount of models in the scene (deleting what I didn't need) and adjusting the overall lighting. I actually made an error during rendering, and forgot to add the trees in the background. To rectify that, I rendered them separately and added them in a new layer. Unfortunately, the top layer (with the character and main tree) was too opaque to show the trees and I then had to adjust the visibility of the top layer. The leaves were a part of the main render and I had to do very little with them. The lights, however, were added in Flame Painter using various brushes. I had to go back and edit the front lights, realizing that to match the camera depth, I needed to make them a little out of focus. The hardest part of all of this, was getting the overall color scheme. I went through a lot of different filters before I was happy with the results. I wanted something a little more green and brown. More autumn. This is probably my favorite render I've made in the last few weeks. I wanted to make something a little more uplifting, considering how dreary a state the world is in right now.
Software used: Daz Studio 4.12 Pro, Pixeluvo, Flame Painter 4, Adobe Photoshop CS2
GPU: RTX 2060
Logitech G600 Mouse, Wacom Bamboo CTH470
While this is on my DAZ gallery, I don't have all the items listed up. I've been very negligent about linking each item featured in my renders. I'll have to keep a better track of them in the future.
