This artwork is based on the Boar Rider character on the front cover of Adrian Smith's 'Illuminations' art-book. (a great book well worth checking out!)
This is a personal project I started in early 2014 to develop my knowledge of character creation techniques. I've been chipping away at him during what little free time I've had since. Finished 2016.

Software:
- High poly sculpted in Zbrush and garments generated in marvellous designer
- Low poly created and unwrapped in 3ds max
- Baked using xnormal
- Textured in substance painter and photoshop
- Presented in marmoset 2
