well, for one i didn't make up the switcharound meme. So i don't know who came up with the process.

second, i think everyone needs to put in the same amount of effort. The sketch is the design, the lineart is the most important (you can have crap colors, but good lineart will always make a difference), and then coloring is what brings it all together.

Anyone can color in the lines with flat colors. It doesn't take that much artistic skill, and everyone's flat colors would look the same.

The purpose of the switcharound meme is to combine 3 different styles. That's what makes it so fun and interesting. Everyone's base style, lineart preference, and shading abilities are unique.
