After volume 3 it made me realize that Blake's nature makes her the LEAST loyal character in the show.

She think she is being loyal because she is preventing people from getting hurt because of association with her, but, as Sun says in Volume 4, she's actually hurting them more with her loner attitude.

This makes sense given how it is her friends that keep her from becoming an egomaniac.
Also I could see her filling Yang's place on the team since they are similar enough for this
to work, and different enough to alter events in the show.
