Finally posting my Rocket Knight OC. Been slowly working on and off on this for a while. It’s beyond time to stop sitting on this and actually post it.

Similar to how I gave Mifune an eastern, Japanese design, I went with a South Indian influence design for my main OC Raina. Not sure how to go about posting her backstory in this is description box without making it “tldr”. So I think the best thing to do is to post a slightly longer description as a text file in Stash.

So here is the most briefest of brief summary as possible:
Past: Raina as a young child around 5 yrs-old, living a happy life until her home village Jaitun, is raided and destroyed by the Devotindos Empire causing her to lose entire family. She ends up at an orphanage where she befriends siblings Alec and Alexi. One afternoon while playing in the forest near the orphanage, Raina and Alexi are ambushed by a huge Devotindos soldier. Raina tries to protect Alexi and is hit. Alec tries his best to fight off the soldier but is no match. Luckily a Rocket Knight was passing by and saved the children from the soldier. Raina is rushed to the hospital. The attack leaves a permeant scar across her eye. Alec is inspired by the knight that saved them and soon after begin training as a rocket Knight.

Current day: The Kingdom of Zebulos have been experiencing a rare time of great peace. Now a young adult, Raina is a Preschool/Kindergarten teacher. Alec became a full fledged Rocket Knight. He is married and have a son (he is actually enrolled in Raina’s class). Alexi runs a supply shoppe for Knights. A competition for Knights was announced promising a large prize reward. Knights begin to train aggressively for the contest. One afternoon while Alec was training his sword falls onto the floor and Raina picks it up. A surge of energy rushes through her (which she brushes off as static electricity). However no one could see what happen except for Sir Mifune who was sitting in the back of room, witnessing the strange event. Shortly after Raina began to experience strange dreams and visions. Late one evening Alec decides to go training again while Raina and Sophia (Alec’s wife) visited Alexi at her store. Just as Alexi was closing up they hear a loud boom. The training center was engulf in fire from a massive explosion. Sparkster saves his fellow knights from the burning blaze. Alec survives but for a while is unconscious. More strange incidents occur where more knights and citizens are being injured. Raina realized the source of her strange dreams were from her picking up her friend’s sword and perhaps some it’s powers transferred to her. She felt strongly compelled to find out who or what was behind to source of the attacks by going under cover as a knight. Wanting justice for her injured brother, Alexi agrees to help Raina and suggests that she should wear her brother’s armor. Mifune senses what Raina is trying to do and also agree to help by training her.

(1-3) Raina as a child during happier times to her days in the orphanage. The doll she’s holding plays an important part early on in the story. Anyone who can guess what series it’s based from gets a digital cookie lol! (4-5) Adult: Pre-K/Kindergarten teacher. She’s wearing a traditional outfit called a salwar suit. Salwar suits are usually very colorful, loaded with a lot of patterns and is accessorized with a coordinating long scarf. I on purpose omitted the extra patterns and scarf for this character study. And yes that is indeed a tiny newborn dinosaur (perhaps a dino/dragon hybrid) standing next to her. (I noticed the games had wild dinosaurs) During recess some of her students found an abandon egg hidden away in some bushes. It hatched and the entire school is raising it. This guy is going to get huge! (6) The fiery explosion. Occasionally she will wear what I call “Modern Medieval” style clothing, which probably more fitting for theme of the video games (7&8) Sword training & Armor. (Rain’s poor tail is taking a beating!) She has on Al’s armor and using his weapon which is a unique snake chain whip style sword. She’s wearing a bulky but lightweight under armor(?) to help conceal her even more.

So let me say this now, I’m in no way a real writer and I’m just doing this for fun and practice. When coming up for the idea for a female knight character I wanted to at least try come up with a good reason as to why she would be a wearing armor in the first place. I still feel like my OC’s story is still a WIP so I wouldn’t be surprise if I end up retconning to death.
