I wanted this guy to look less cheesy, with more of a true robot’s face. Those with a keen eye might see elements of Optimus Prime in his face. I kept the rest of his body basically the same, except for those blue plates on his back, which just make him seem a bit more functional somehow, and less like a guy in a suit.
