Meet Dr. Asha de Vos, a marine biologist from Sri Lanka. She is a specialist in blue whales and has been getting a lot of publicity lately for her campaign to protect the whales. The fact that she is totally hot may have something to do with the attention she is getting. And she looks even hotter in this neoprene suit which I'm sure she spends a lot of time in. She has a beautiful educated English accent as well, which is very alluring to me. I can see her as a kind of eco-terrorist villainess, trying to disrupt international commerce to protect her beloved marine habitat. She could also be a heroine, but the black suit just made me think 'villainess.' I'd love to hear your thoughts about this very sexy potential villainess. (Although the Tickle Me Elmo doll - or whatever it is - on her desk does not exactly scream 'villainy.')Related content

She could be perfect for an insane eco terrorist who wants to flood cities to protect nature.
Perhaps she tries to drown the hero/heroine or their love interest.
In the end perhaps she falls off the ship or something after a long fight against the hero/heroine.

I realize many villainesses could be mercenary like that. But to be really extreme, you need to be a 'true believer.' I think she'd be more credible as a villainess being willing to kill 10's of thousands of people just to protect her beloved whales. Plus the market in whale blubber isn;t what it used to be.

Another scenario: Asha de Vos uses trained blue whales to force a Russian nuclear sub to the surface, then her team of scuba-suit wearing hench girls take over the sub. De Vos will try to hold the world hostage until they agree to do something serious about global climate change. So who should the heroine be? Aquawoman? Aqua Girl? Mera? Somebody else? Maybe Super Girl - someone will have to throw the nuclear missile into space somehow.

Okay then. I can imagine her as being a villianess or anti-heroine. She could have invented a device that allows her to communicate with whales and use them to sink cargo ships in order to bring the world economies to the brink of collapse.

That could work too. Although the blowback from the torpedoes firing might hurt the whale if its from their mouths. And she doesn't want to hurt her friends the whales.

Maybe all the whale-hugging talk is just a cover for larceny or extortion on a grand scale and once they've served their purpose the whales will have become expendable. Since when has any self-respecting Bond villain (or villainess) ever given a damn about the lives of their minions once the caper's been accomplished?

But don't forget Drax from Moonraker. He was kind of an eco-terrorist, who wanted to destroy human life so he could start again. I think an ideologically motivated villainess would be worse than one motivated by money. You can always negotiate a better deal when all they want is money or comfort.

True. And that's why it will be difficult to take her down. Whales are endangered after all and you can expect a big backlash from environmentalists and hippies should one of them be injured.

Don't knock Hillary as a potential arch-villainess!! She did a respectable job of filling a one-piece bathing suit a few years ago back on the beach and looked pretty foxy in March when she showed up at the Apollo Theater in Harlem in a leather bomber jacket. Since Hillary's perfectly open about her desire to rule the world, if she could be persuaded to ditch those unbecoming pants suits for a racy leather jumpsuit with boots and gloves she'd be appropriately dressed to do it...! (And if Theresa May could only be coaxed back into those leather jackets and pants she used to wear a few years back, we'd have the makings of an hot new matriarchal New World Order)!
