Here's a real collaboration that I've taken too long to post. yacermino did the original inked line art, which you can see here:

Then Travitti , an enthusiastic and generous Purple Vixen fan, commissioned Alexi-C to add colour to the image, which he did masterfully! And now we have this masterpiece. Many thanks to all involved. It takes a village! I've added my original story below:

There had been a break-in at the museum for sure. The broken windows. The alarm ringing incessantly. Someone had even smashed the case containing the world famous Valentine Diamond. Except the diamond was right where it should have been. And all the smashed cases of priceless gems ... the gems were all in place, exactly where they were supposed to be. If this was a heist, it was a strange one, all right. The police searched the extensive building, but could find nothing, no signs of the perpetrators. The lead officer was stumped. "Well this is a head scratcher. Clearly, there was a break-in. But nothing's been stolen. And no sign of the criminals. I think that's all we can do here. I guess we scared them off." But a short female officer cleared her throat. "Um, captain ... might the museum have a basement? Have we checked the basement?" The lead officer replied. "No we haven't checked the basement. But I can't imagine anybody going down there. It has no outlet to the outside. It would just be a trap. But for the sake of thoroughness, let's take a look. The three officers walked the long staircase into the dark and somewhat forbidding basement. They turned into the boiler room and shined their flashlights around. "Nope, nothing here ..." the lead officer said. But he heard a strange sound from above him. MMMMMM UHHHHMMM MMMMM ... He shined his light toward the ceiling and his jaw dropped. "What the heck ... ?" he said in disbelief. Six women in purple bodysuits hung from the ceiling, trussed up in ropes, their mouths taped over. They squirmed and bent as much as they could, but if they could have escaped their ropes, they would have had a long and hard fall to the ground. "Why it's Purple Vixen and her LILAC's! Of course! They are exactly the kind of criminals who would try to pull of a massive heist like this. But it seems someone has beaten us to the punch! Someone has done us the favor of capturing them and returning their loot. But who could have done this?" The chief was mystified. Meanwhile, the short, young female officer had a wry smile on her face. "Yeah chief," she said. "Who could have done this?" Little did any of them suspect that this rookie police officer was also The Black Avenger, the elusive heroine who was cleaning up Metro City one criminal at a time. She had done a little 'extracurricular' work at the museum, right before her shift began. Now, she had the chance to enjoy her handiwork on both ends of her crime-fighting life!

Many thanks to yacermino for this absolutely fabulous picture! The story just flowed from the picture, especially the little smile on the female cop's face. Just looked like she knew more than the others and was a little less surprised at what she was seeing!
