As a few of you noticed and remarked upon, yes, I changed my DA avatar.

I was a bit torn because the previous one was adapted from art created by my friend and frequent collaborator . I kept it for a long time as a testament to our partnership on many fronts, especially my ebooks; he still creates the covers for those and provides invaluable editing services on them. But now that I'm creating my own digital art (and accepting commissions for it), it made more sense to have something I created as my emblem around here. There's now more "truth in advertising" to it, if you will.

Just for fun here's a larger version of the image. It does harken back to one of my first-ever images of Duster , as well as paying homage to EXitZero's image that I used for the original avatar . I think it's interesting to compare them and see how she and I have changed.
