character: color refined rendition of Omega Vortex, the main villainess from "Star Maidens"

Omega Vortex is an agent of a tyrannical space lord who employs destruction and chaos and enjoying on other people suffering. She first appeared on Earth devastating and terrorizing Portland, Oregon when she first encountered Star Maiden Aurora Star (who had a hard time being a super heroine for the first time) and they clashed in an Earth-shattering brawl. Aurora defeated Omega, and she would vow revenge on Aurora for her humiliation. Omega would be destined as Aurora's arch nemesis.

To gather more information on Earth and its' defenses, Omega disguises herself as Josie Olsen, a seemingly innocent teenage girl who coincidentally joined the same high school (and class) as Jasmine Webb (Aurora's secret identity). When Jasmine and Josie competed in a talent signing contest, Josie won, and was signed to a record deal with a national recording group. She decided to invite Jasmine as her songwriter, and they became the best of friends, not knowing that their alter egos are also bitter of enemies, soon to clash at each other again.

Omega has the same costume style and powers as Aurora and the Star Maidens, right down to the spinning transformation. Omega also has the power to twirl at super-speed and turn into a powerful vortex. She is armed with a lightsaber for melee combat and is an expert in martial arts. As Josie, her favorite hobbies is performing at sold-out concerts and appearing in late-night talk shows. Her favorite food is lamb chop and potatoes au gratin.
