GUESS WHAT I DID THE LAST TWO DAYS! I finally watched Star vs. the forces of evil and I love it!^^I'm sorry that there is a crinkle on the right side. I use tissues to blend the color and then... well I guess you know what happend.^^°
Actually, I planned that there is a big fire behind her wich destrois everything but then I decided for this.^^
(Update: HOW DID I FORGET THE HEARTS?! O_O)

Very pretty! And the background looks amazing! I draw with colored pencils as well and backgrounds are something I really struggle with, but you even have a nice gradient going on! I love this.

Thank you!^^ I almost never draw Backgrounds in traditional art because I'm not really creative with them and maybe it could be too much and simple backgrounds like that are my lifesaver.^^ But hey. Practise is the key.^^

Yeah, I prefer simpler backgrounds like this as well, or no background at all, but I like to expand what I can do with traditional art as much as I can. And, unfortunately, that means backgrounds... grr.

Thanks.^^ In traditional art, the tissue is very important for me.^^ When you rub it against the colors, it can blend them and it really helped me for the background.^^ But watch out that you don't over do it. It's like an eraser. If you rub it too fast and too hard against the drawing, there will be crinkles.^^°
