It is a D&D creature. It looks a lot like your creature except that it usually is bipedal instead of walking on all fours. Very interesting though that you would come up with a similar looking creature it is really cool!

Very nicely done... and awesome work on the lighting and coloring.
Allow me a little positive-criticism though... The hands are nicely worked but they don't seem to grasp the weapon it could add to the already impressive amount of detail if they did. and the "monster face although it looks cool could use a little more detail could easily be achieved with some fine highlights for more "Edge" to the wrinkles of the skin... I leave it up to you of course it is an awesome work non the less.
