I hate when that happens.
Although. All my work starts pissing me off within at least a few months.
I definitely like this one better. The angle is more engaging and her face is structured more naturally. I think her shirt is a little strange, though; it almost looks as if her body should be following the edge across her stomach, but then turns out against it. I think if it followed the shape of her body a little more closely, it might look better. Aside from that, strong composition, and great improvement.

Your painting was still very nice in 2006, but you have certaintly improved! your painting style is much tighter an refined now. Also, the angle of Mia is more dynamic. The colors are also more pleasing to the eye. Nice revamp!

Much improved on the first, but I feel like she should have more of a neck. Even considering that angle, it looks like her head is sitting right on her collar bone.

I admit i didn't really have a ref for this, so there's prolly a million and one things wrong with it, anatomically :/ I think my drive for this one was that I still get faves on that disgustingly bad old version. lol

Ha. I hear you on that. Most of the faves I get are for a few old, really crappy anime doodles I did. (Mostly that "Yaoi sucks" one.) But personally, I have no desire to revisit those. XD

Dunno that I concur here. She's no swan neck,but it looks right to me. Short arms, good hips, wide face... it's just a body type, and the neck length is very appropriate to it. Fine work.
