Description These tree were so enthralling with the dark clouds in the background. I never noticed how pale the branches and trunk are...so I gathered many shots of them both.

I really like the composition of this shot with the strong horizontal lines of the horizon and cloud bases, and the two trees creating a third diagonal. If the black level was increased I think the trees would stand out even more, but that's splitting hairs; this is an arresting capture of an amazing natural moment. It almsot feels like a lightning bolt is about to strike!

Thanks a lot! It was a beautiful spot near where I used to live. It was taken with my older camera. Thought I'd put up an old picture on my front page for a bit. Glad you like it.

Thanks. I think it might be getting a bit better today. Yes - my gallery is too big. I have been whittling away at it lately...scrapping this and that...but I don't know if I'll get it much smaller.

I'm not sure anyone's works of art and literature can be too big, actually. So, it's quite alright you have a big gallery; it just takes me a little longer to visit all your works
