Description
The young redhead only realized how much she was actually shaking as her trembling fingers reached for her ID card. Careful not to drop it she held it in front of the scanner. A second passed, then a short beep accompanied a panel sliding open, revealing a lens. She moved her eye close to it. She was blinded by a short flash of light before she heard the familiar series of beeping noises, followed by a monotone, robotic voice:"ID confirmed. Dr. Jennifer Maria Hawkins. Access granted."
The pneumatic system hissed and the steel door opened. Jenny hesitated. She took a deep breath, trying to calm down and stepped inside the highest security area of the research facility. She had been here on a daily basis for so long, yet this time she was scared. She hadn't been around when...it was brought in two days ago. And now she had to face that thing...Another deep breath. She clenched her equipment bag closer to her (in her opinion embarrassingly small) chest and approached the silver sarcophagus in the middle of the room.
"You can do it Jenny...Just keep moving..." she assured herself, "That...whatever it is...is heavily restrained, Dr. Bishop said it would be no threat. You just get there, take that blood sample and get the hell out again."
Finally she had reached the elevated platform in the middle of the room, where the sarcophagus was standing. She opened her bag, got out the sanitizer, syringe and everything else and got it all prepared. The shorter that thing would be open, the better. When she was done, she caught a glimpse of her own reflection in the polished steel door in front of her. She was a mess. Her skin had always been of a light color, but right now she was as pale as a corpse, making her freckles stand out even more. Her long red hair was tied in a hastily done ponytail, her unkempt bangs almost covered her eyes. Brown eyes that were visually terrified of what they might see next.
The young woman gulped and placed her palm on the scanning device. It took a second - Jenny almost hoped the damn thing was broken - and then the heavy steel lid moved aside, revealing what was inside. Jenny looked up at a tall woman, engulfed in thick, black leather from neck to toe, her mouth and eyes covered by leather panels, keeping her gagged and blindfolded. A system of straps and chains kept her suspended in the middle of the sarcophagus, without touching the any surface - and without any chance of escape.
All that fear Jenny had felt...it dissolved into something else: Pity.
This woman didn't look like a dangerous monster, but rather like an isolated prisoner. Jenny shook her head. She had heard enough stories about this being to know that this was a necessary precaution. She entered a code in a small terminal on the inside of the sarcophagus' lid andΒ Β a small staircase elevated out of the ground.
She quickly climbed onto the highest step and reached out to the captive's neck to apply some sanitizer before taking the blood sample. The bound woman flinched the moment she was touched, causing Jenny to almost lose balance out of surprise.
"Shh...don't worry." Jenny said almost out of instinct, like she had done hundreds of times before during her medical education, "I'm just gonna clean that area - it might feel a bit cold."
Just as the prisoner flinched again Jenny realized she couldn't hear her - she was wearing earmuffs. The young doctor wiped the pad damped with sanitizer over a skin area over a promising looking vein the best she could, with her "patient" struggling and moaning.
As she prepared the needle she couldn't stop thinking: That woman didn't sound angry or ferocious like a wild beast - instead her whimpering into her gag reminded Jenny more of a scared child than anything else. She sighed and decided to break the rules: She removed one of the prisoner's earmuffs.
"I know it's hard, but try to stay calm. I'll take a blood sample now, that will mean a little sting. Please don't move, or I'll unintentionally hurt you."
The prisoner's breathing slowed down. Jenny sighed again, wiped some sweat off her face with her sleeve and took aim.
"Okay, be strong now..." she inserted the needle and the captive screamed into her gag.
"It's alright, " Jenny hastily said, "it's alright. That was the worst part already. Now just be patient for a few seconds."
Once she had enough blood for her sample Jenny pulled out the needle. She pressed down a dry cotton pad to stop the bleeding.
"Okay, we're done already." she assured the prisoner as she reached for a piece of band-aid. Just as she wanted to apply it she noticed the wound had already closed.
Jenny looked closer, but there was no sign at all: No tiny hole, no blood coming out, no scab - nothing. That was unnatural - even such a small wound would usually bleed for a few minutes! Slowly she backed up and turned away from the prisoner - who indeed clearly wasn't human...
"Hmmph...hnnn!"
That muffled sounds just now sent shivers down Jenny's spine - and they reminded her, she had forgotten the earmuff. She turned around and faced the captured creature again. And again she felt pity.
"Fnhhph...hmph mh hn..." the prisoner moaned again. Jenny took a quick look around to make sure she was alone and removed the gag - breaking the rules again.
"Please... let me go..." she asked, almost sobbing.
Jenny didn't even know what to say - maybe removing the gag hadn't been such a bright idea after all?
"I I'm sorry...I can't..." she stuttered.
"Why?"
"Well, uhm..." Jenny could feel her face turning hot red. Why did she have to be so stupid and break that one simple rule?
"Why are you doing this to me?"
"I...I'm sorry." Jenny said as she re-applied the gag.
"No, please.. please donnnngh! Hmmph! Hmmmmmph! Nhhhgh!"
Jenny looked away as she tightly buckled the gag. She couldn't bare looking at anyone that way - let alone when she was doing such a horrible thing as gagging them when they begged for release.
Quickly she put the earmuff back where it belonged and left the sarcophagus, which automatically closed once she crossed the photo sensors. Her heart almost stopped as she saw Dr. Bishop standing in the room - since when had she been there?
"Taking that sample took quite some time..." she said in a cold voice Jenny wasn't used to.
"I can explain - I...the prisoner..."
"Specimen." Bishop corrected her. "I'm not here for explanations, Miss Hawkins, I'm here for a blood sample."
"Of course, Ma'am." Jenny hastily responded, hoping that would mark the end of that part of the conversation. She handed her superior the sample. She didn't dare to ask her again to be properly called 'Dr. Hawkins'. Right now she just wanted to get away from that woman.
"Remember, Miss Hawkins, any form of contact with the specimen other than what is absolutely necessary is strictly prohibited." Bishop said as she turned around and left, "You should consider if you're not too soft for this job. Take the rest of the day off, you look terrible. I'm fully capable of analyzing this sample myself."
Jenny didn't need another hint. She packed her stuff and left the facility as fast as she could. She could use some sleep now - but something told her she wouldn't get too much of it.

Not bad for a first :3
Things looks spot on from what I can tell. The only nitpick I have is that your sentence structure sometimes gets a little repetitive... but with a bit of writing practice, you can get a nice flow going.
Is this going to be DID/Bondage centric, or are you planning something bigger and more serious with this?

Thanks for the feedback! :3
This one will have plenty of DID in it, as usual, but I'm also using it to try and work on my storytelling, especially with many characters. And there'll be a big reveal concerning one of my characters at the end. I'm gonna move a bit more towards the supernatural with my OC universe, since I've already introduced Arachne back then I think I'll keep that direction. So yes, this may become something bigger.

I have a feeling Dr. Jenny Hawkins might end up doing something she shouldn't... let's just hope she doesn't. I actually think what Bishop is doing isn't all that bad, considering what she's dealing with. It prevents other humans from coming into the creature's cluthes if nothing else. As long as Bishop doesn't kill her/it I don't think she's going too far at all. But she/it is quite the actor. I just hope Jenny can see through it. She has proof it's not human, and she should have heard the stories. Then again, I have a feeling she won't be able to...

Well, Jenny is a kind soul - and after seeing somebody who's supposed to be a terrifying beast vulnerable like that it sure leaves her confused.
Bishop on the other hand, has no such things as the good of mankind in mind. Of course, capturing a drider is a great accomplishment for humanity's safety - but her reason is plain old revenge.
