Oh boy, all I wanted to do was a simple spidersilk pic - and here I ended up with a 4 character drawing, showing off various stages of cocooning:Being tangled in the web, still struggling - Being fully cocooned, probably hanging there for some hours already - and of course in the process of actively being wrapped up, halfway done.
Here we have Sarah and Claire, who oviously went ahead and searched for the dissappeared Scarlet. They found her, but it doesn't look like that's gonna help anyone.
I like to imagine a little dialog to accompany the picture:
Sarah: "Claire? Where are you? I can't see anything, it's dark in here!"
Scarlet: "Mmmf..."
Sarah: "EEK! Something grabbed my arms! I - I can't move them!"
Claire: "Nnngh!"
Sarah: "Claire! Something's got me! Ngh-No, don't touch my clothes! Oh god! She starts cocooning me! Claire, help me! Claire, where are you? Help me, HEL-hrrph! Hmmmph!"
Arachne: "Oh, your friend has her own problems right now..."
Sarah: "Mmh?"
Arachne: "She didn't watch her step and now wiggles in one of my webs...Now, once I've wrapped you up nicely, I'm gonna move on and do the same to her..."
Sarah: "NNNHG!"
Claire: "Nnn! Ssow id! 'iwch!"

Well, Arachne has a tendency to play with her victims, to scare them. Actually I didn't plan to draw Sarah's bra exposed, but while drawing I somehow decided it would fit Arachne's character.

Great to know you enjoy it, although there won't be a sequel to this particular piece. But of course I'll keep doing cocooning art and I might even do a short comic featuring Arachne and Claire in the future. But that will take a while, since I'm working on three big projects simultaniously again...boy, how did I get myself into this mess?

Thanks! That's also what I love about drawing spidersilk bondage: Not so much drawing a fully cocooned girl but rather a damsel in the proccess of being webbed, showing the structure of the webs and where the spider/drider/whatever placed the bonds first to make sure the prey won't get away - actually there's at least one partially wrapped girl in each one of my spider-themed pics so far.

Random question: How do her victims get trapped in the first place? Is Arachne able to shoot her webbing or does she weave traps and then wrap them up after they're caught?

Well, in her human form she can't shoot her silk, she creates it between her fingertips, but she needs to get within an arm's range of her victim to wrap her up, so she uses traps like the one Claire stepped in here.
In her drider form she's much more powerful (but of course easier to spot). She can shoot her silk out about 20 feet and once her victim is immobilized enough to not run away she starts wrapping her using her hands to place the silk strategically.
But her usual hunting method is stalking the city, luring girls into a dark back alley or even gains enough trust to be let in in their homes, where she catches them off guard, wrapping them up, then transforming to her drider form and, with her halfway cocooned prey over her shoulders, escapes to the forest, usually jumping from roof to roof to avoid being seen.

Well, Arachne only keeps her victims for a couple of days, then she releases them so she won't draw too much attention to herself, so I guess no one figured out where her lair is within that time - plus, she takes any witnesses with her...
