Cuca is described as a old witch with lizard face and has a horrible voice, from tupi(language used by natives) her name means: to swallow or gulp, witch refers to what she does with naughty children
Is believed that this tale came from Portugal and Spain, where is called Coca, and arrived in Brazil during the colonization.
