Somthing I don't understand is how did Armando Ended up getting dragged off and tortured? 

What I mean is this, In the last five panels including this one, In the first two when he's on his horse and cart It shows three men Heiding in the bushes waiting to ambush him and then the next page  throw a stone at him making him fall off his cart and then beat the living crap out of him,  and then there is three panels show him getting tortured.

At the beginning you at least show one the guards of wathever they were Captureing Magali and take her To the castle where the trial was being held and then Then later to the dungeon where they proceeded to Torture her For a Confession.

what happened between the time Armando was getting beaten up and the time he was getting tortured, And who exactly was is being him up?

where they a bunch of thieves Looking to rob his cart?

 a group of people Who are religious & were now beating Armando up because they think He Was making a devil's child with his wife, Like that woman who was spying on them in the first place?

Or just because he doesn't believe in  religion at all being atheist and everything?

Or were they another set of guards that were going to take him back to the castle to give him a trial and then conduct tests of witchcraft?

Okay I've had my rant.

Sorry for turning into that douche bag Star Wars fan boythat Nick picks every flaw in every single seane to death/Ruin the rest of the film for everyone else

 But I am just confused as to what happened in between the time he was getting beaten up and the time he was getting tortured, So I've got a lot of questions on my mind.

I understand, he was tortured by the same reason Magali got tortured. 

It's another group of guards, but they're part of the inquisition.

The cart is not important, maybe they robbed the items, but the important mission was capture him and make him confess that he did "pagan rituals".

I understand now,  thank you very much for clearing things up for me

I am afraid to say that I wish That there were more panels showing him being dragged off to the castle,  a trial being held for him,  and a few more with him being tortured.

But that's just me thinking that his spotlight moment was rushed compared to Magali

All in all I think you're making a good story,   I am deadly worried for the both of them and their baby and I'm just hoping that they'll come out of this with a happy ending

For me there is no who suffered more, I think That they have both equally been Put through the worst of hell!

But if you got me with hands behind my back and twisted my arm really tight I have to go with Magali
