     "Elisabeth?", said Valerius, looking at her with a smiling face.
     "Where am I? What happened?"
     Valerius took a moment to think and then he said:
     "A wild beast attacked you, you fell and hit your head. I scared the beast off when I came here. Are you well my love?"
     "Yes, I’m fine."
     "Oh my beloved, I thought I was going to lose you."
     "Lose me? Why? Because I fell and hit my head? You silly boy." Then she giggled and kissed him. "No worries my love, you will not lose me, ever ."
     "Yes my love, never."
     He could not bare tell her what he had done, it would have been too much for her.
     As the sun was coming up, Valerius rushed to get Elisabeth inside the house, and the poor girl didn’t even know why, thinking it was some childish game of his.    He started sealing off every source of light, every window, and shut the door quickly. Elisabeth was stunned by Valerius’ reactions and asked him:
     "My love, what are you doing?? Let the light touch my face, I want to feel the morning sun."
     "No. You can’t", Valerius stuttered.
"Why not?"
     Valerius turned towards Elisabeth, looked into her eyes and said:
     "Promise me you will not hate me for what I have done but it was the only way. It was a vampire that attacked you, not a wild beast. The reason why I’m keeping you safe from the sun is because …" The boy stopped in his words and with a dim voice he told Elisabeth what he had done. Elisabeth, paralyzed by what she had just heard, wanted to end it all in that moment and rushed to the covered window. Valerius seeing what she was about to do, grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her close to him, saying:
     "My love, I am sorry, I did not want to lose you, forgive me!!! But this way we can be together forever."
     "Forever? What do you mean?"
     "There is something you should know about me. I am a werewolf, but do not be frightened, I control the beast within me, it does not control me."
     The reason why Valerius could control his rage was because Darius taught him how to control it, a skill very few werewolves could master. But Valerius was lucky to be so close to Darius, because he learned it much faster than other werewolves, usually mastering this skill took centuries.
     After a while Elisabeth calmed down and as she realized what had happened she started crying and fell into Valerius’ arms. She was not sad, nor was she crying because she had to die to live again, she was crying because a bit of human feelings were still inside of her, she still had some human emotions.
