This is quite evokative--we almost always see Vader from the front, with the menacing helmet-visage; here, he's moving away from us with head lowered, steps thoughtful and slow. Beautiful work on the cloak, and showing his massive form beneath the robes--the drapery is really wonderful!

Never expected such a comment where someone would describe their feelings about what is pictured here Thank you very much!

"Never expected such a comment where someone would describe their feelings about what is pictured here"
Emotion is one of the things that really grabs me in art, and this piece is chock-full of it: you're giving us a view of Vader we only glimpse briefly a few times in the films--the man beneath the mask, the tortured soul who believed he killed his Angel (and his child), who simply can't find the inner strength to break free of the darkness he surrendered to so long ago... I love it when art hits an unexpected emotional chord like that, and this certainly does that! Beautiful--and you're very welcome!

Well the man beneath the mask is not so rarely showed in the Extended Universe... In many books, fanfics and fanarts people try to show exactly the man beneath the mask... but in most cases they make him pathetic, not mighty tragical character as he was in movie

This is just TO beautiful.
You know when Vader looks sad. In ep. V ESB at the end when R2-D2 repaired the hyperdrive and admiral Piett looks all scared of beeing force choked by Vader, then when Vader turnes his head where you see the side the proportions of the right eye lense and the helmet made Vader look sad
Can you decifer what I'm trying to say here?

Yes, I know that.))) And he also looks sad and kinda disappointed when Luke falls into the shaft.

Thanx)
I used this photo: [link]
And there's one thing about the helmet... I had a lot of troubles with shadow before noticed one thing. I was wrong trying to draw the helmet shadows as I thought it should be. To make a long story short, look at my first Vader: [link]
Then I tried to use the photos and noticed that shadows on the helmet are absolutely different from what I imagined. And since that time I just draw dark and light places as they are on photo, not thinking about what it should look like or what it will look like. And - bingo! - the helmet looks just like it was meant to be
