Description
The oracle sits in the center of her colorful tent, her thick dark hair barely contained under the red veil. Hundreds of coins adorn her figure, some unseen, their presence only betrayed by the delicate clinking as her hands draw invisible shapes in the air. At once her crystal ball is alight with an intense blue glow and little droplets of energy coalesce under its surface, sluicing down in increasingly frantic rivulets. Her chanting intensifies until, impossibly, the droplets break the glass surface and splash through the air, drawing figures of light that morph from one to another in the blink of an eye. The tapestries and candlelight behind her flutter as if from a gust of wind. Somewhere above her head, the black cat leaves her perch on the tent support beams and drops down, hissing something horrible.
