There's something remarkably striking about this piece of art. I can't tell you exactly why, but it's probably got to do with the fact that it seems like an intimate portrait, a moment that just shows love. It's incredibly gentle, and to me, there's not a "shoo, go away," look from either the girl or the elephant, which probably adds to why it's so wonderful.

Sehr hübsch. Die Farben sind sehr angenehm. Aber von mir aus müsste die Dame garnicht im Bild sein, der Elefant fasziniert mich viel mehr. Sein Auge ist gut positioniert, da wandert mein Blick immer wieder hin.
