It's original. How many comics on stuff like this do you see that often? Most point puns at games; I've seen less funnier stuff make it to the front page before. Not too mention, this doesn't seem to have been put together in a rush like many "poke-fun comics".

I don't understand how it's anyone's right to say whether or not someone should or shouldn't like an art piece. Art is all in the way it is percived, and everyone has the right to decide what is and isn't art.
If enough people like it, it's their perogative to fave it, and if it makes it to the front page? So? It's only going to be there for awhile; more 'front page worthy' art will come along, calm down.
If you don't like the piece, that's fine, it's your right, no one can make you like or not like it, but it is also the right of others to like or not like it. As you haven't been pressured to like it, others shouldn't be pressured to dislike it.
Good grief people, at least try to respect the rights or others, it's not that hard, common sense really.
BTW, I think it's funny. It's art, for God's sake, a drawing. It's not like she really strung up a cat.

*snickers* This is the part where I point out a certain artist who draws ridiculous looking comics of points in games that are supposedly funny, but I don't like saying names; if you know who, then you know who. o-o They make the front page often; actually, I believe they were there yesterday.. Trust me, this is more original than a LOT other stuff. After a search, this is the only piece that has the cat as a swing, all the others are cats on a wooden swing or a tire swing or something. And I wouldn't call those "cat swings", just, cats on swings. O_o
Worthy of 1K favs? How would I know? There's a lot that's not worthy of the amount of favs they get, and then there's a lot that don't get as many favs as they deserve. To be honest, I barely use "favorite features". I find an artist, choose my personal favorite from their gallery, and fav that, and then don't fav anything else unless they create something even more spectacular and I then fav that and get rid of my original fav by them. Beyond that, if I really like their work, I won't fav everything, I'll just watch them. Now they're in my "watch list" and I can find them easy peasy. Comments are so more yummy than favs anyways.
Actually, this is much better art than other comics I've seen. A lot of comics thrown up there are a bunch of crap. With people that do that stuff (make comics that are bunch of crap), I've rarely seen, in their gallery, a piece of art that looks like they could be professional. Like, for instance, a very good realism painting or something that shows that they have a background and are taking a break from hardcore stuff. I've been watching Lolita-art for a while now; her art is rather good. Interesting? Yah. Different? Definitely. In this, she took her style, her way of painting, and she actually makes it look 3D instead of just blahblahblah 2D cell shading or something. Was this thrown together in about an hour? Maybe she's that good. Did it take her longer than that? Maybe it did; I don't watch her paint, mainly because we're in two entirely different places. My point is that this looks much better than half the "funny" comics get put up there on the front page all the time. Actually, this looks much better than nearly -all- of the "funny" comics put up on the front page.
*snickers* Anime...I don't even think Lolita actually draws "fanart". I see a few Disney stuff, some interesting stuffed animal stuff...seriously. This isn't Sasuke, this isn't Naruto, and we're not all "Sasuke Naruto" fans. I personally dislike people that go around favving everything they see that relates to their "favorite show". I drew a South Park picture one day for a friend, only thing SP I've ever drawn, I believe the only "fanart" piece I've put up (and out of all the art I've drawn, I've drawn a grand total of 3 "fanart" pieces, the other 2 being from KH and rather crappy), and it's got the most favs from people who just go around favving all the South Park stuff they find. :/
XD This is the "crap" that makes me think dA's got at least one hope. If you this piece is the "crap" that makes dA laughable, MAN, you haven't been looking hard enough. Trust me, half the art I see on the front page make me think dA is "laughable". This isn't even "crap." Is it her best? Nah. Is it her worst? I dunno, have I seen her worst? o-o
Overall...I don't think I have an "overall." Am I standing up for her? *shrugs* Why would I? I think I commented on her piece once; she didn't comment back. People are busy, I know, but I don't know lolita-art herself, I just happen to like her art. I'm just standing up for the fact that not all art is bad just because it makes the front page because some people decided to go crazy with the fav button. Does that mean it's all good? Not at all. There's a lot of stuff that gets to places it doesn't deserve to be and there's a lot of stuff that doesn't get there at all but it deserves the spot more than half the people there. Popularity is dumb; surely you know that. If not, you're going to learn it. My point; try doing your research first.

We used to do this with our cat, but with twine, and not sitting on him. (He was too small. or tying to a tree (That'd take too long.
Our cat always seemed to view the experience as like sleeping upside down, but with the possibility of snacks.
