"...I awoke in a sweat, not wanting to move. I shivered with terror, then pulled myself out of bed to change my clothes. For a moment, the dripping sweat seemed like blood covering my whole body. I shook the thought, but I still felt traumatized. I returned to bed, with an hour left until morning.

"So glad it was all a dream... but then I began thinking, 'how much of my current life do I wish was a dream?' I wish my problems would all go away, and that I could wake up with a fading memory that they ever existed..."

I created this piece fairly quickly, based on a photograph of a hand dripping with blood. I was curious to see how it would look in my silhouette style, using straight lines instead of curves to make it slightly more abstract.

It ended up looking like something illustrated by Eduardo Risso, famous for his work on 100 Bullets.
