I remember how I got carried away in the series and started to see Ryuk as a funny guy and totally forgot he was actually a real frightening creature until there was a moment again - I think when he gave someone the Shinigami eyes - where I remembered what he actually was.
I think you caught that feel how and what he really is very good. The drawing really reminded me of that moment ^^
