Very beautiful.
Reminds me a bit of Malphas; from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.co…

yes the bird woman/man is a common concept lots of artists have explored this theme..for this i was inspired by Beksinski and Giger.

This is AMAZING! I just can't help but feel she's either becoming nature or is nature just reminding us how beautiful she can be! I LOVE THIS! Awesome work and definitely inspirational to me!
Keep up the awesome work!

Can't believe all these marvelous comments, thanks to you all. Yes the intention was to release a 3D work with the same approach of a painting (for colours, textures etc). Next works will follow this direction. Stay tuned. Now i need a vacation so i'll posted some more works on September. Thanks again i'm honoured for such positive response from the community.
Best regards, Daniele.

Amazing, the detail. To the point thought it was initially a model on a live set.

Everything looks fantastic. The only thing that I can think of that breaks the realism though is the root at the middle bottom. Otherwise I was like ZMOG! - Luke

This reminds me of a New Zealand Maori myth of a bird woman.

I've been wondering in this past week why no 3D-artist has rendered a Giger scene. Excellent work. Yes, I can imagine you're not the first, but this is the first I've seen.

Daniele, colors on the picture chosen with great taste. In the best traditions of European old school. This is one of the best of your work. I really like what you're doing.

Даниэле, цвета на картине выбран с большим вкусом. В лучших традициях европейского старой школы. Это одна из лучших ваших работ. Мне очень нравится то, что вы делаете.

thx to you all, about "irregularities" they are made both with displacement and both trough sculpting and both in 3d and in 2.5 d in the final document (hope is clear) - i use lots of customed alphas creating from sculpted planes at high subdivisions. I use also morph target to have more control and layers in the final document.
